A poster design created for Black Hat Talent.
The goal was to create a design showcasing an event highlighted by the world’s ultimate iPad Magician, Keelan Leyser. We wanted to make a poster design that captures the essence of his magic, namely using an iPad to seamlessly blend flat video animation on the iPad interact with real-world environment.
After receiving a few images of Keylan via a photoshoot where he is playing with a deck of cards, we finally isolated one image where he is just flipping the cards off in front of the camera. Using this scene we created an out-of-bounds image for the poster making it appear as if the cards are coming out of the iPad.
