Led the design of a bold, data-driven visual campaign calling for the elevation of Canada’s Federal Chief Nursing Officer to a full-time, executive role. Through striking posters and a large-format building wrap, the campaign spotlighted urgent statistics on burnout, attrition, and staffing demands—compelling policymakers to act on solutions that support the nursing profession and sustain Canada’s health system.
Situation
The Canadian Nurses Association needed a visual representation of its historical impact on nursing and health policy in Canada — a piece that could inform, inspire, and mobilize both members and the public.
Task
Create a visually striking and informative timeline poster that spans CNA’s key milestones from 1926 to 2020, highlighting its influence on policy, ethics, education, equity, and healthcare system reform.
Action
Designed a print-ready poster with a clear visual flow and balanced typography, integrating milestone highlights and advocacy achievements. Focused on clarity, historical accuracy, and inspirational messaging. Emphasized key moments such as the Weir Report, the introduction of the CNA Code of Ethics, early calls for baccalaureate education, and anti-racism declarations during COVID-19. Maintained CNA’s branding and tone throughout the piece.
Result
The final poster was praised for its clean design, historical depth, and effectiveness in showcasing CNA’s leadership through time. While intended for print, it also held strong potential as a digital engagement tool and educational resource — reinforcing CNA’s reputation as a changemaker in Canadian nursing.
